I forgot to post a link from my blog to Soft Whispers last time one of my poems was featured. I plan to submit poems there regularly.
I want to thank all my friends who have already commented on this poem. Here it is,

Love’s Note
Love’s Note was written,
After thoughts,
Between words,
Without obsession.
Love’s Note was played,
Between breaths,
Outside sounds,
Within embrace.
Love’s Note was sent,
With wind,
Around time,
In gardenias.
Love’s Note was not read,
Under sedation,
Through desire,
In enchantment.
Love’s Note was not heard,
Inside hypocrisy,
Around mediocrity,
Over indulgence.
Saturating with silent hypnotic bliss,
Love’s Note, always present.
Awaiting Awareness in obvious sight,
Love’s Note, yearns to be yours.

Congratulations #writerlbsOff community!
Our community members made amazing progress in January with several pounds off, higher creativity and productive writing. And, some of us have persevered through challenges with our health and creativity, but we are all here strong and happy.
We did it together! What started as a simple suggestion of a few friends who wanted to [...]

Aunt Urola’s lavish jeweled necklaces were finally removed from my aunts’ necks. Now, they were all wearing hot blisters and bumpy rashes seared by the poison laced in each string. The red flush of their faces matched their flaring tempers. The men were [...]

Can this truth be taken into the worst pain? Or into minor irritations? Can we master the experience of being able [...]
9/11 Shock Waves
Today I watched the 9/11 memorial,
similar to the time I watched 8 years ago,
on Good Morning America.
8 years ago, I sat with my
9 month old babies,
talking on the phone to my husband.
I watched at the moment,
Charlie Gibson,
was getting alarmed at
the live sight of planes
crashing into the twin towers.
I watched captivated all day
with my [...]
How do we deal pain & suffering in life? The RedFlame from my previous poems is symbolic of events from all quadrants that can enter our lives suddenly, but can also do a slow burn on us each day. Death, trauma, loss are big events. But there are also daily irritations when [...]
My series RedFlame DeepWater continues. After the RedFlame of life events burn through your life in unexpected ways, you have the chance for spiritual growth. Second-tier spirituality is not devoid of experiences that send you to dark places, with feelings of depression, fear, anxiety. Often, these experiences are more brief, but can be very intense. Sometimes [...]
